Once we taken that first step (diagnosis) and have made the decision to the correct mode of
action, our next step is treatment. Treatment may involve any one or several of the following:
Corrective Pruning, Soil an/or Trunk Injections, Vertical Mulchiing (coring), Soil Aeration, Growth
Regulators (click on "Services"), and finally Fruit Regulators (for clients who want to rid their
residence of pesky fruit, i.e. Sweetgum, Black Walnuts, Buckeyes, etc.) When the decision to
the right mode of action comes to soil inoculations and/or vertical mulching, we use only
organically based fertilizers, humates, soil conditioners, liquid compost teas, earthworm casings,
mycorrhizae spores, and wetting agents. These indredients improve the vitality of depleted
urban soils with beneficial bacteria, fungi, nematodes, and microorganisms (It's Alive!!!).
After the treatment, we continue to monitor by checking vitality (using either a sound axe,
increment borer, and/or a Shigometer), stored starch testing (using an I.K.I. solution to record
any increase vitality both above and below ground level.
Honestly, we hope this Website is not taken as a silver (cure all) bullet, snake oil treatment,
or just blah-blah-blah, but as a direction (step) to better bring plant health and diversity
(harmony) back into the soils (rhizosphere).
